The Latin text is designed such that you can learn Latin just by reading the text itself without any external aid. Such is the power of context. For my translation attempt on the capitulum primum, please check out an earlier post: 02(07).

Your Latin book
Here are two Latin books: an old book and a new book. Lingua Latina is your first Latin book. The title of your book is ‘Lingua Latina’. Your book is not old, but is new. In Lingua Latina, there are many pages and many chapters: the first, second, third chapters, and more. ‘Imperium Romanum’ is the title of the first chapter. The title of the second chapter is ‘Familia Romana’. In the second chapter, there are six pages. On the first page of the second chapter, there are many new words: vir, femina, puer, puella, familia, and more. The number of Latin words is large!
